Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Deed’s website, applications, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
The Service
Deed provides tools to draft, review, organise, and sign contracts with the assistance of automation and AI. The Service may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
Free tier
We offer a free tier with a limited number of AI-generated contracts (as stated on our website at the time you sign up). Once you reach that limit, you must upgrade to a paid plan to continue generating new agreements through the Service, unless we offer you another lawful basis to continue. Other features may also be limited on the free tier.
Pro subscription
Pro is a paid subscription billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly) at the price shown at checkout. Fees are processed by our payment provider. Taxes may apply where required.
Cancellation and renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account or billing flow (for example via the subscription management options we provide). Cancellation stops future charges; you typically retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, unless stated otherwise at purchase. We do not guarantee refunds except where required by law or as explicitly offered by us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users’ data, or third-party services.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service in a way that harms availability or security.
- Upload malware, spam, or content that is illegal, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Use the Service to generate or distribute content intended to deceive or defraud.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these rules or these Terms.
AI-generated content
Outputs produced by AI features are automated suggestions. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your jurisdiction or facts. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to rely on any output. We do not warrant that AI-generated content is correct, complete, or fit for any particular legal or commercial purpose.
Not a law firm
Deed is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes solicitor–client advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. For important or high-risk matters, consult a regulated professional in your jurisdiction.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where allowable, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.
