This Privacy Policy explains how Deed (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services at getdeed.ai and related properties (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information we collect
- Account and profile data — such as name, email address, and identifiers provided when you register or sign in.
- Content you provide — including contract text, templates, contacts, and other materials you upload or generate in the workspace.
- Usage and technical data — such as device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected to operate and secure the Service.
- Communications — messages you send us (for example support requests) and records needed to deliver transactional emails.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including AI-assisted drafting and review features).
- To authenticate users, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To process subscriptions and payments where applicable.
- To send service-related emails (e.g. sign-in, contract notifications) via our email provider.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Supabase (database storage)
We use Supabase to store application and user content (such as contracts and related metadata) in secure databases. Data is processed according to Supabase’s terms and security practices. Access is restricted to what is needed to run the Service.
Clerk (authentication)
We use Clerk to manage sign-up, sign-in, and session handling. Clerk processes authentication data (such as email and session tokens) on our behalf. Please refer to Clerk’s privacy policy for details on how they handle personal data as a processor.
Stripe (payments)
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers. Stripe’s use of data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy and applicable law.
Resend (email)
We use Resend to send transactional and service-related emails (for example notifications related to contracts). Resend may process recipient addresses and delivery metadata as necessary to send messages.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below.
Your rights and deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by law. Some information may be retained where we have a legitimate legal or security reason to do so.
